Types of Solvents
- Alcohol-Based Solvents: These provide quick and easy removal of adhesives. They evaporate quickly, which means less residue but may be slightly drying to the scalp.
- Oil-Based Solvents: These are gentler on the scalp and hair system, ideal for people with sensitive skin or prolonged wear. They can leave an oily residue, but this helps condition the skin.
- Citrus-Based Solvents: These solvents are effective at breaking down adhesive while also having a fresh, pleasant scent. They are often less harsh than alcohol-based solvents but may leave more residue.
